1. INTRODUCTION
Deetlefs Wines (“the Promoter”) is hosting a promotional competition (“the Competition”) where eligible participants stand a chance to win one of 5 wine filled 10l Fieldbar Drinks Boxes, subject to the terms and conditions outlined below.
2. CONSUMER PROTECTION ACT NOTICE
These Competition Rules may:
- Limit the liability or risk of the Promoter or any third party;
- Create risk or liability for Participants;
- Require Participants to indemnify the Promoter or a third party; and/or
- Serve as an acknowledgement of certain facts by Participants.
By entering this Competition, Participants confirm that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Rules.
3. ELIGIBILITY TO ENTER
To qualify, a Participant must:
- Be a natural person (not a company or other legal entity);
- Be 18 years or older; and
- Be a permanent resident or citizen of South Africa.
Participation is entirely at the Participant’s own risk.
Exclusions: Directors, employees, agents, or consultants of the Promoter (including their spouses, life partners, business partners, and immediate family members), and suppliers associated with the Competition, may not enter.
4. HOW TO ENTER
To enter the Competition, Participants must:
- Purchase two or more Deetlefs Wines products including Deetlefs Signature, Deetlefs Familie, Deetlefs Estate and Deetlefs Stonecross from a participating Liquor store.
- Send a photo of the till slip or invoice to Deetlefs Wines by either:
- Scanning the QR code, or
- Sending it via WhatsApp to 082 812 7754.
- Keep the original till slip or invoice as proof of purchase.
The Promoter accepts no responsibility for technical failures or incomplete entries.
Entries that are unclear, illegible, or incorrect will be deemed invalid.
5. THE PRIZE
- Five (5) Participants will win a Deetlefs Wine Filled Fieldbar Drinks Box
- The Winner will be selected through an audited random draw and notified telephonically within four (4) weeks of the draw.
- If the Winner cannot be contacted after reasonable attempts, the Promoter reserves the right to select another Winner.
- The names of Winners will be available at Deetefs Wines.
- Any Prize not claimed within the stated redemption period will be forfeited.
6. WINNER REQUIREMENTS
- Only five (5) Winners will be selected from all participating stores.
- Winners may be requested to take part in publicity campaigns related to the Competition. With their permission, their name and likeness may be used on the Promoter’s website, Facebook, and other social media platforms.
- Winners may be required to sign a waiver of liability and indemnity before receiving their Prize.
- Winners must provide their name, ID number, and contact details, and sign an acknowledgement of receipt upon claiming the Prize.
- By entering, Participants consent to the use of their personal information for Competition administration and future marketing by the Promoter.
- Participants will not receive any payment for publicity participation, and all materials will remain the property of the Promoter.
7. COMPETITION RULES
- Entries are unlimited. Participants may enter the Competition as many times as they wish
- Participants must provide accurate and up-to-date personal details and consent to their use in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
- The Promoter reserves the right to amend or terminate the Competition at any time, with reasonable notice.
- In the event of amendment or termination, Participants waive any rights or claims against the Promoter.
- The Promoter’s decision is final and binding, and no correspondence will be entered into.
- Any fraudulent, dishonest, or unlawful conduct will result in immediate disqualification.
8. INDEMNITY
By entering, Participants agree to:
- Indemnify and hold harmless the Promoter, its partners, employees, and agents against any claims, losses, or damages arising from participation in the Competition or related activities; and
- Accept that the Promoter will not be responsible for any costs, losses, or damages incurred after claiming the Prize.
9. PRIZE QUALIFICATION
- A Prize will not be awarded if prohibited by law.
- Winners must present valid proof of identity (green barcoded ID, passport, or driver’s licence).
- Any additional expenses not included in the Prize description will be for the Winner’s account.
- The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the Prize with one of equal commercial value at its discretion.
10. DATA PROTECTION (POPIA)
- All personal information will be processed in line with POPIA and will not be shared with third parties without consent.
- This promotion is not sponsored, endorsed, or administered by Facebook, Twitter, or any other social media platform.
- By entering, Participants consent to their personal information being used by the Promoter for this Competition and for future promotions.
